Welcome to From Nothing! We are excited to offer you the opportunity to request custom video content about African history. These Terms of Service govern the purchase of custom video requests from the From Nothing YouTube channel and its associated website, fromnothing.info.

By completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a transaction.

1. Service Description

For a flat fee of $100.00 USD, the From Nothing creative team will research, script, produce, and publish a high-quality educational video on a topic of your choosing related to African history.

  • Topic Submission: You must submit your requested topic at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to decline or request modification of any topic that is overly broad, outside our area of expertise, requires access to paywalled or inaccessible sources, or violates our content standards (e.g., promotes hate speech, historical negationism, or misinformation).

  • Creative Control: While we will honor the core of your request, From Nothing retains full creative control over the final video. This includes the script, narrative structure, visual elements, length, and overall presentation.

  • Delivery: The final video will be delivered by being publicly uploaded to the official From Nothing YouTube channel. While we aim to complete requests in a timely manner, we do not guarantee a specific completion date. Production timelines can vary significantly based on research depth and our existing content schedule.

2. Payments and Billing

​

 

  • Fee: The cost for one video request is $100.00 USD. This is a one-time, non-recurring fee.

  • Payment: All payments must be made in full at the time of the request through the available payment methods on our Website. Your request will not be considered submitted until payment is successfully processed.

  • Currency: All transactions are processed in USD. If you are paying from a different currency, your bank may charge a conversion fee.

  • Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable sales taxes, duties, or other governmental taxes associated with your purchase.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Due to the digital nature of the service and the significant amount of labor and research that begins immediately after a request is accepted, our policy is as follows:

  • All Sales Are Final: Once payment is made and we have accepted your video topic, the sale is considered final.

  • No Refunds: We do not offer refunds, except in the specific circumstance outlined below. Please be certain of your request before making a purchase.

  • Exception for Declined Topics: If we decline your submitted topic for any reason and cannot agree on a suitable alternative, we will issue a full refund of your $100.00 payment. The refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Ownership: You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights, including copyright, to the video produced belong exclusively to From Nothing. The final video is a commissioned work, but ownership of the creative product remains with the creator.

  • Credit: As the requester, you may be acknowledged in the video's description or credits (e.g., "This video was requested by [Your Name/Handle]"). You can choose to remain anonymous if you prefer.

  • Usage: The video will be published on the From Nothing YouTube channel and may be monetized, promoted, or distributed across any platform at our sole discretion. You are granted no commercial rights or ownership over the final video. You are welcome and encouraged to share the public YouTube link.

5. Limitation of Liability

By purchasing this Service, you agree that From Nothing and its founder(s) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the Service, which is $100.00 USD.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on this Website. The date of the latest revision will always be displayed at the top of this page.
