@Sword of Africa @Jabari I'm totally with you guys on the racism and cynicism of people like this, but I would warn you against overly generalising matters. As with everything, how Europeans dealt with Africa was a "mixed bag". Clearly, there were those that wanted to colonise, exploit and settle the heck out of it and create a Europe version 2.3. However, there were also the philanthropists, missionaries and those that were actively campaigning for the liberation and emancipation of oppressed peoples. The former prevailed, unfortunately, but that shouldn't erase the efforts of all those people that DID have an ounce of empathy and humanity.
